  • Our new session starts from April of every year and continues till March of the subsequent year
  • However, students from Local Kindergarten are welcome to join in Primary 1 (in the month of January)

What document are to be submitted during Admission?

Child

  • Two passport sized latest photographs
  • Copy of latest passport
  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Copy of immunization records
  • Latest NRIC/FIN copies and also a copy of the re-entry permit if PR
  • Academic records and proof of promotion from the previous school (Original Transfer Letter/certificate & Report/progress card)

Is a sibling discount offered?

A concession of 10% on tuition fees will be given to the younger child.

What is regular school timing?

School timings for Classes 1 to 10 from Monday to Friday is 9.15 am to 3.45 pm

How many terms are there in an academic year?

There are 2 terms in one academic year namely

April – September

October – March

What languages are offered?

Hindi, French and Tamil are offered as options for 2nd language

What is the Student Teacher Ratio?

The maximum number of students in each class/section is not more than 25.

What is the Vacation Schedule?
  • June: 1 Month Vacation
  • December: 1 Month Vacation
What is the Office Timing?

Monday to Friday: 9.00am – 5.30pm

Saturday: 9.30am – 1.00pm (All Saturdays are working days except Public Holidays)

Sunday: Holiday

What kind of Proficiency test is conducted for admission?

The test aims at understanding gaps in the child’s learning, based on the Standard GIGIS syllabus. It will enable us to develop a customised bridging programme for the child. The test normally takes approximately 1 hour based on the class. *Proficiency test subjects: English and Mathematics

What is the qualification of the teachers?

All teachers are academically and professionally qualified with a minimum of 3 years' experience.

GIG Teacher Selection Policy

  • Academic qualification: Minimum Bachelor's degree, preferably master's degree
  • Professional qualification: Bachelors of Education or Cambridge

    International Certificate for Teaching and Learning ( CICTL), or any other equivalent Registered with CPE Proficiency in ECA and CCA (desirable)

When will the Extra Curricular activity be conducted?

All our extracurricular and co-curricular activities will be conducted during the School Hours.

Which education body is the school affiliated with?

The school is accredited to Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE)

How well will a child be able to cope with GIG IS curriculum if they come from a different board?

A proficiency test will be taken at the time of enrolment to identify the learning gaps and accordingly, a bridging program will be planned by our extremely experienced teachers to facilitate a seamless transition into present class.
