The A-Z in being a Phonics expert

GIGIS Professional Development Centre offers

Certificate of Professional Practice – Phonics

This course provides techniques on how to develop children’s early literacy skills in word recognition, pronunciation, reading and writing by using the concept of Howard Gardner’s multiple intelligences. Participants will know the 3 types of decoding strategies for beginner readers to determine the oral equivalent (pronunciation) of a written word context knowledge, phonics knowledge, and sight-word knowledge. It would also help them deliver lessons that develop language skills through songs, movement, games, talking and reading to children.
