Certificate of Professional Practice – Special Educational Needs

Learn to identify and correctly explain the different disabilities; sensory impairments, neurological disabilities and learning disabilities that challenge the learning capacity of children so you are able to implement effective intervention strategies. The course also comprises state-of-the-art methods in differentiating helpful activities for children with special needs in a mainstream classroom setting.

Admission Criteria

  • Minimum 3 “O” levels with credit in English or
  • Any other recognised Certification, Diploma or Degree
  • Mature candidates by interview and approval from the School

Assessment

  • Classroom Presentation / Participation
  • Forum Participation
  • Lesson Planning
  • Practicum / Practical Examination
  • Written Theory Examination

Course Duration

  • Part-time study – 8 weeks in total
  • 1 session a week, – 4 hours per session

Graduation

Upon successful completion of all lessons, Practical Examination and Theory Examination, candidates will be awarded a Certificate of Professional Practice – Special Educational Needs accredited by London Teacher Training College, along with a Transcript.
